Be a better you

So, I recently dove into the world of “juicing” (fruits and veggies not steroids) and although I blame the wedding and not wanting to gain weight, it’s also because I just want to be a better, healthier me. I have so many people give me crap for trying to be healthy because apparently I’m “skinny enough.” Those of us skinny bitches know that its not always about being skinny; its about feeling good about yourself and taking care of your body. You only have one!

As for this post, I just wanted to share some of the recipes I have made and how I make juicing easy and quick!

Warning: Always wash your fruit before you juice! Especially in America, land of pesticides. If you want to start juicing, you should eat solid foods as well unless you’re doing a detox for a week. Its very unhealthy to drink nothing but liquids, though it is more nutritious to make it yourself instead of store buying juice.

What I do is make two types of juice in the morning. I eat breakfast (with juice), lunch, and small dinner. I drink my second juice between breakfast and dinner just whenever I get the urge to eat something (I’m a bored eater so juicing is AWESOME.)

I use a nutribullet, nut milk bags, and whatever is in these recipes.

Measurements are based on the large nutribullet container, which I always fill up passed the max fill line (teehee). And regular water instead of coconut water is fine I just like coconut water because it is more hydrating. If on a budget that week Ill use regular water, too. Also, I LOVE ginger root so you don’t have to use nearly as much as I do unless you love it too.

Don’t forget when juicing you want to drink it within 24 hrs of making it! Otherwise nutritional value decreases and it starts to go bad. If juicing for a later period find a container that is well sealed and try to get your juice all the way to the top to keep oxygen from getting to it and making it go bad faster.

Happy juicing everyone~

I’ve never been a juice drinker but I really want to try fresh juicing. Now I have some recipes to try out! Thanks!

No problem! Its so easy to do when I started I literally just went and bought a ton of fruits and veggies I like and threw stuff together! Its so easy and not as expensive as everyone thinks. If you spend more money on fresh stuff you can spend less money on processed juices and soda so it mostly equals out. And youre better for it! Good luck 🙂

Feel free to delete comment. Just meaning to be helpful. Veg and fruit don’t combine well in the gut.

The nutrition Bible I reference on that site has everything to say about it. Most people are clueless. We’re talking all the juicers on TV, stars, nutritionists. I appreciate the receptivity.

        =)
